The Greece-Albania Business Forum, held recently at EBEA, led to a number of new trade agreements, after 60 targeted business meetings, as well as to the signing of two Memorandums of Cooperation between Greece and Albania. This is underlined in today’s announcement by the chamber while it is recalled that the event was organized by the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN-Hellas 2025) and Enterprise Greece-EG, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the context of hosting a business mission by the Tirana Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA).
The president of EBEA, Sofia Kounenaki Efraimoglou, spoke with emphasis on the significant scope for expanding the cooperation between the two countries, noting that Greece is one of Albania’s most important trading partners. “Over the past five years, the volume of trade between the two countries has been steadily increasing. Greek exports to Albania follow a steady upward trend and in 2021 exceeded 684 million euros in value. last year the 212 million euros” said the president.
