Ged Ventures Portugal invests 1.5 million euros in the video surveillance startup of Covilhã – Tecnologias
DeepNeuronic raised an investment of 1.5 million euros from Ged Ventures Portugal, the Portuguese startup said in a statement. The investment stems from the financing of 535 thousand euros for a national PT2020 project and the investment of 75 thousand euros from the “business angel” Sergio Giacoletto, former executive vice president of Oracle.
After a year of developing and validating a solution linked to the automation of video surveillance, the goal is now to go beyond borders. “The investment by GED Ventures Portugal represents a strategic partnership, as it will allow us to consolidate our technology, namely in the continuation of research and development work, allowing us to reach the international market”, consider the company based in Covilhã.
DeepNeuronic was founded in 2021 by Vasco Lopes and Bruno Degardin, computer engineers specialized in artificial intelligence and focuses on facilitating the surveillance process of surveillance cameras with automatic detection, in real time, of abnormal and dangerous situations, using intelligence artificial and computer vision that interconnects with existing infrastructures.
Initialization ensures that the system allows detecting more than 20 dangerous scenarios, such as road accidents, fires, abandoned objects, assaults, shootings, robberies, falls, among others, with the possibility of including new situations. “In addition to immediate visual and sound alerts, the user also has access to the history of events with easy visualization and filtering”, adds a press release.
