Ebusco receives follow-up orders in Sweden
SWEDEN
Ebusco has signed a new contract with Svealandstrafiken in Sweden for 13 18-meter Ebusco 3.0 buses, to be delivered in the second half of 2023, in a follow-up order from Svealandstrafiken and the manufacturer’s third Swedish contract this year.
Svealandstrafiken is responsible for bus traffic with more than 65,000 travelers daily. Most of the bus traffic is managed directly by Svealandstrafiken, while a minority is provided by subcontractors. The operator placed an initial order for 23 18-metre articulated buses in June, while the latest contract includes an option for a further five buses.
Martina Lindblom Alanko, sustainability and procurement manager at Svealandstrafiken, says: “Sustainability is close to our hearts and a natural part of our business. Based on our values, we take an active responsibility for our customers, employees, shareholders, suppliers, partners and not least for the society we operate in. This is an important step for us when it comes to reaching our strategic sustainability goals.”
Sales Director Nordics at Ebusco Jonas Helsner added: “At the end of October we were on site at the Persontrafik Fair in Stockholm where we met many operators and authorities from Sweden and other Nordic countries to present the light and innovative Ebusco 3.0. In addition to the bus’ fresh exterior appearance and spacious interior design, the audience was also very pleased with the 3.0’s energy consumption figures, which we were able to display in our real-time fleet management system. It is great to see that the positive feedback we have received about our Ebusco 3.0 has strengthened our regional position and which is highlighted by the third order in Sweden.”
