Belarus to supply Russian equipment for cancer treatment
Solemn ceremony of signing an agreement on a meeting in Sochi on the sidelines of the XII Congress “ATOMEXPO 2022”. The signatories plan to supply Belarus with equipment for the treatment of cancer. We are talking about the Russian linear accelerator “Onyx”, as well as the complex for brachytherapy “Brachium”. Due to the fact that the price of the equipment of the State Corporation “Rosatom” does not depend on the volatility of the exchange rate, it will be significantly lower than that of other corporations. According to Oleg Shved, “specialists in the field of medicine in Belarus are well aware of the problems of Rosatom. For example, the initiative of Brachium, the AGAT complex has been produced since 1970. The Medtechnocentre “is undergoing training and will take care of the maintenance of the equipment.”

For reference: Rosatom State Corporation is one of the five European countries for the export of isotope products used in the diagnosis and transmission of oncological diseases. Now specialists are developing the world’s first gel-free magnetic resonance tomograph, which will be assembled and more reliable than production. Work has also begun on the creation of a domestic toroidal remote beam therapy complex “Torus”.
