Baseball A, Garbella returns to San Marino
Welcome return to Mount Titano. After a year’s break, he is in San Marino Nicholas Garbellaalready protagonist on launch mound in the 2020 and 2021 seasons with the San Marino jacket.
Nicola will turn 30 on December 11th and by now he knows the Italian championship well for having lived as an important element in various roles. Californian from La Jolla, he has already played some of the most prestigious diamonds in the Belpaese since 2014, when he played in Grosseto in A Federale. Then Parma, where he started with the club in his hand growing exponentially in the following year.
In 2017, in Rimini, he was still almost entirely engaged in the batting box with growing numbers, which he kept stable in 2018. In 2019 he moved to Nettuno, then the two-year period at San Marino Baseball. In 2020 Garbella also demonstrated his good qualities as a pitcher with a season totally lived on the hill. For him a regular season of 4 games won and 1 loss, with an average ERA of 3.46 and 34 strikeouts in 39 innings pitched.
And then the great 2021 vintage, the one that marked the return of the Scudetto to San Marino. Nicola was an important element in the journey to the Italian flag with 7 games won and 1 loss, 2.56 average ERA and 51 strikeouts in 45.2 innings.
Finally, the very recent past, the one concerning the last competitive season, 2022. For Nicola Garbella a return to Nettuno’s Steno Borghese.
All of this being often called up for the activities and competitions of the Italian national team.
Now he wears the San Marino Baseball shirt again and the club welcomes him with open arms, waiting for him to resume activity and for the 2023 season.
