At the extension of the house, the workers fenced off the power lines, cutting almost everything
“By the decision of the local building authority, the construction of an extension, extension and structural modifications of an apartment building in the Příbram III district was permitted. One of the conditions of this decision was that the construction can only be started after the relocation of the equipment has been implemented,” said Eva Švehlová, the spokeswoman for the Příbram office.
In other words, work on rebuilding the house could only begin after the wires were out of the way of the bricks. But that didn’t happen.
At the same time, the transfer of management has already been allowed to the ČEZ companies. “From our point of view, the modification of the building arrangement violated technical standards and, at the same time, threatened the safety and reliability of the distribution system, as well as the possible threat to the lives and health of people who were moving nearby,” wrote editor Soňa Holingerová. CEZ Group spokesperson.
However, due to this, the owner of the building’s permission, even before the realignment, canceled the conditions of the building. Why this happened is not clear and no one communicates from the house.
“It seems like standard procedure for bypassing building authorities. Of course it’s wrong and goes against all regulations and common sense,” added Jaroslav K., the owner of an electrical company. He also drew attention to a similar case he saw in Slané.
The website was the first to report on the case on Saturday příbram.cz. “Stavební learned about the violation of obligations by the building authority on November 21 and ordered the work to be stopped,” commented Švehlová, adding that the authority will further resolve the matter at the construction site, including the imposition of appropriate sanctions. According to the spokesperson, ČEZ is also in contact with the investor. “We will negotiate a remedy in cooperation with him,” said Holingerová.
At the expense of the investor, the overhead low voltage line will probably now have to be converted to a support point in front of the house. In addition, in 2023, cabling of the line is also planned in the location, when the overhead low-voltage line will be buried in the ground, ČEZ explained.
