Toulouse cable car: target of one million passengers for Téléo by the end of the year

Teleo, will the longest urban cable car in France pass the one million passenger mark by the end of 2022? In any case, it is in this direction that the companies of Altiservice, which manages the maintenance and operation of the urban cable car of Toulouse on behalf of Tisséo.
5,500 people in the cable car per day on average
“We are on average 5,500 people per day in Téléo, explains Frédéric Raufast, director of the urban cable car. Since May we have had 830,000 validations. »
Figures a little below the estimates announced at the launch of the infrastructure: at the time, Tisséo estimated that 8,000 passengers would take the cable car every day.
Cities rewarded with equipment
“This cable car is the future of urban transport, however, believes Frédéric Raufast. Many towns come to visit it, it’s equipment that is thirty times less polluting than a car. »
As a reminder, the layout had been appalling in mid-May 2022. It relies on the Paul-Sabatier University at the Oncopole, via the Paul-Sabatier University for a 3 kilometer journey, lasting 10 minutes in total.
