Saturday morning November 19, a 96-year-old lady who lives alone was allegedly raped. The nurse who had gone to the scene crossed paths with a man who was fleeing. A few hours later, the BAC arrested an individual who was finally released. Since then, the alleged victim has come back a little on his statements.

The investigation for aggravated rape continues to find out what really happened on Saturday morning around 7 a.m. at the home of a 96-year-old lady, not far from the Matabiau train station in Toulouse.

This Saturday, November 19, 2022, the intercom rings. This lady who has trouble moving presses to open believing that it is the nurse. But it wasn’t her, because she arrives shortly after and comes face to face with a man who is running away.

Based on several reports from the nurse, the victim who claims to have been raped and a neighbor, a man is quickly arrested in the morning. But the custody of the suspected man does not last forever. According to the public prosecutor of Toulouse, Samuel Vuelta Simon: “There is nothing to consider him as the author of the facts”. The attack was allegedly committed between 7 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. and this man’s schedule does not match.

Samples have been taken and are being analyzed. The doctors were able to see traces of violence on the arms. As for the rape, nothing is certain. The lady backtracked somewhat saying that he tried to do it but did not rape her. Quoted by our colleagues from La Dépêche, his daughter recognizes that: “She opens too easily. A fortnight ago someone found someone who managed breakfast at her house”.
