Prague 13: Extraordinary subsidies for clubs, associations and leisure organizations
The City Council of Prague 13 today agreed to provide subsidies for operating expenses to sports clubs, cultural associations and other leisure organizations in the total amount of 750 thousand crowns. To registered organizations that organize activities for the citizens of Prague 13, the town hall offers assistance in the form of an extraordinary individual subsidy to cover quickly suitable, especially suitable operating costs, up to the amount of 50 thousand crowns.
“We want to keep the leisure activities at Thirteen financially accessible to the widest possible public, and that’s why we set aside funds in the budget that helped the organizations. Based on the high level of interest, it is clear that the associations and clubs in our district really care about this help, and we try to handle all requests as soon as possible. It is mainly about the benefits of contributing electricity and gas, which dramatically affect gas costs,” informed the mayor of Prague 13 David Vodrážka (ODS) and added: “Whether organizations have their own facilities or are rented, costs and we try to help as much as possible. “
Each organization, these activities for children and youth, seniors and adults, can apply for a subsidy for operating expenses, which mainly relate to the cost of energy, gas, water or rent, which includes an increase.
Applications for subsidies can be submitted in the same form as for standard individual applications for subsidies. The application must therefore contain basic information about the applicant and its membership base and the area of activity and the purpose for which it will serve. The only condition is to document these costs within 12 months of the provision of the subsidy.
