Migros Schaan is being rebuilt – Liechtenstein
SCHAAN – Migros Ostschweiz has submitted a planning application to the municipality of Schaan for the modernization of the Im Rösle supermarket. The conversion is to be implemented from spring to autumn 2023.
Migros in Schaan has been the only “pure” Migros branch since 2013. At the time of the takeover, the most necessary repair work was also carried out. Now the location is to be extensively renewed, as Migros Ostschweiz announced on Monday.
The presentation of goods in the Migros supermarket is to be adjusted and the mall reduced in size so that there is space for an additional sales area that IS also accessible from the mall. In the course of modernization, the entrance was also moved to the middle of the building. Thus, the way from the parking lot to the small shopping center was shorter.
In addition, according to the announcement, the building technology WILL be updated to enable more resource-efficient operation of the Migros supermarket in the future. A photovoltaic system on the roof of the building has been making a significant contribution to the energy supply since 2017. “Now the owner Edith Heeb-Hasler is planning to connect to the district heating system in cooperation with Liechtenstein Wärme.
Coordination with partner businesses on lease extensions
The Ristorante La Casa, the Magic hairdresser and the drinks retailer ESEN Anstalt are also currently represented in the building. Migros Ostschweiz is in talks with them to extend the leases. New tenants would be sought for the additional and free commercial space.
Assuming the approval process goes according to plan, the conversion work at Migros Schaan would be carried out between spring and autumn 2023. Migros Ostschweiz will provide information on the exact course of the conversion after receiving the permit.
