Lehel: E-scooters will be big
Hotspot Eisbachwelle: Countless pictures and posts pop up every day on social media, surfing world stars come to Munich only for this reason and of course the crime scene investigators Batic and Leitmayr have already investigated here.
Surfing has been going on at the southern edge of the English Garden for more than 40 years. The sight of cyclists “packed with surfboards” and pedaling through the urban landscape in wetsuits is perfectly normal in the Bavarian state capital. A small electric scooter also wanted to bask in this highlight early on Sunday morning. Under the cover of darkness – probably during the night from Saturday to Sunday – the otherwise rather inconspicuous small e-scooter jumped heroically into the Eisbach. Because he also wanted to shine in the pictures and selfies of the tourists as casually as the surfers of the Eisbachwelle usually do.
Unfortunately, the venture failed – the surfers didn’t want to share their media fame with the small scooter. They alerted the fire department. The emergency services quickly fished the scooter out of the Eisbach using a turntable ladder and a so-called tear hook. As hard as it may sound for the small e-scooter: the mobile phone cameras were running hot, but unfortunately not because of him, but because of a casually kinked turntable ladder.
