In Toulouse, Le Wagon wants to help you find your way
An intensive training of approximately 400 hours spread over nine weeks to become a web developer, data analyst or data scientist. This is what Le Wagon will offer in Toulouse, with the opening of its campus, within the Village by CA 31, from January. “We are going to start with a first session of twelve people in web development. We will probably open the analyzed data in April, and data science will come later,” says Matteo Bianchi, head of the new Toulouse campus, who himself went through Le Wagon in Paris after working in finance. The stated objective is to welcome 40 to 50 students per promotion within a year.
Directed training
Created in 2013, the structure, which today has 46 campuses around the world and claims to have trained 17,500 people, positions itself on jobs in tension, thus ensuring work at the exit. “We have an insertion rate of around 95% within six months,” claims Romain Paillard, co-founder of Le Wagon. “211 start-ups were also created by alumni and they raised 860 million euros. »
This ” boot camp coding » is aimed at people in retraining, as well as at students or job seekers, and it delivers RNCP level 6 certifying training, equivalent to Bac +3/4. “Using a platform that we have developed in-house, Le Wagon offers support from A to Z, with concrete training in learning by doing, and the supervision of one teacher for every seven students”, develops Matteo Bianchi. For the selection, the managers place a lot of importance on the project and the motivation and a certain level of English, essential in the world of code, is required. The training is also eligible for various funding, such as the Personal Training Account (CPF) or Pôle Emploi.
For Romain Paillard, settling in Toulouse owes nothing to chance. “There is a real entrepreneurial, innovative, industrial and student dynamic. We want to establish ourselves in this ecosystem and develop partnerships. »
