Comment
The first third of the results was clearly in the direction of the Praguers. They took the lead for the first time in the game in the tenth minute, when he rushed in with his twelfth goal in the forward Ondřej Hrabík. The young Spartan forward once again confirmed the role of the most productive player of the entire team. Our fighters continued to succeed when, in the fifteenth minute, he used another power play ready Andrej Fabry. It wasn’t all from the visiting side, and before the end of the first act, our team added a third goal thanks to a defender Martin Böhm.
The Boleslav ice hockey players had to knock themselves out in the cabin after a three-goal attack by their opponent, which they quite succeeded in doing. Coach Václav Pletka’s men didn’t allow Sparta to score during the second period and, on the contrary, came within range of two goals themselves. Kristers Zvagulis he took advantage of an illegal intervention by defender Böhm and the home player brought his team back into the game for a valuable body. According to the statistics, the Spartans sent only six shots at the Boleslav goal during the second half, while the home hockey players checked the goalkeeper Lokajíček at his workplace a total of thirteen times.
The skaters continued their established trend in the third period, and after only twenty-one seconds of the game, our goalkeeper had to love another puck out of his net. Vojtěch Polák he punished Tůma’s offense at the end of the second act and the Spartans led the game by just one goal. The home players had the upper hand and were suddenly the first in everything. In addition, Senčák fouled an escaping player during the forty-sixth minute and the referee ordered a penalty shot. An experienced man faced the raid Vojtěch Polák, who did not despise his chance and equalized. He subsequently made his mark for Sparta Jakub Tomabut Boleslav took care of the second equalizer Oskar Lislerwho sent his debut into overtime with a goal.
In the three-on-three overtime, neither team made a breakthrough, and it was the turn of separate raids. Marek Vlasák from Boleslav scored first in them, but he equalized in the same series David Senčak. The winning goal was awaited until the seventh series of raids, in which striker Senčák made his mark again, for whom it was officially the seventh goal in the past. All in all, our hockey players took away two valuable points from Boleslav for a 5:4 win.
Testimonials from coaches
Václav Pletka (BK Mladá Boleslav): “We started the match well, when we put Sparta under pressure for ten minutes and it was a shame that we didn’t score a goal. Then we had a ten-minute break when we made fatal mistakes, which they confirmed and converted. In the cabin, we felt something about it they said, and the boys should be thanked for not wrapping up the score at 0:3 and bringing it up to 4:4. It’s a shame that we didn’t turn the score around in the raids. If it weren’t for the ten-minute timeout in the first period, the match was not bad from our side. The ten-minute timeout in we simply can’t allow matches because then it costs us points.”
Tobiáš Slavíček (HC Sparta Prague): “We started badly, Boleslav outplayed us, but we scored three goals in power plays and jumped to 3-0. Unfortunately, we stopped playing after that, we didn’t do what we were supposed to do, and the opponent equalized and came close. For the win in we like raids.”
