Rugby was in the spotlight on the Rock this Sunday, November 20. Just hours after France’s victory over Japan to close the autumn tour, great players headed to the Monte-Carlo sporting club for the World Rugby Awards. Event overseen by Albert and Charlene of Monaco in person.
Sport has been at the heart of almost all of Prince Albert II and Charlene of Monaco’s dating outings for some time. After encouraging South Africa during the confrontation with the France team at the Marseille velodrome during the fall tour, Charlène and Albert returned to Le Rocher for a special award ceremony. For her sporting career, her involvement and her dedication to the cause on the Rock, the mother of Gabriella and Jacques, 7 years old, was awarded a medal by her husband. An honor for the former swimmer, satisfied to be able to contribute to the transmission of her passion for the sport.
It is therefore all smiles that this Sunday, November 20, only a few hours after the victory of the XV of France against Japan for the last match of the year, Charlène of Monaco, accompanied by Albert, attended the World Rugby Awards which took place within the Sporting Club de Monte-Carlo. The couple thus saw the Irishman Josh van der Flier designated as the best world player of the year 2022 (equivalent to the golden ball won by Karim Benzema football earlier in the year) in the presence of Bill Beaumont, Chairman of World Rugby.
Charlene, queen of the evening
All in elegance, Princess Charlene of Monaco stood out in a magnificent recycled outfit. To attend the award ceremony, Albert of Monaco’s wife opted for a classic white blouse, which she paired with a black satin XXL skirt and black pumps, both signed by Dior. It is with all the class that we know of her that the former swimmer went to meet the biggest players in the oval ball, under the protective gaze of her husband Prince Albert.
Princess Charlene of Monaco even spoke in front of the assembly, reflecting all the ease and ease she has in assessing and expressing herself in the field of sport, an environment she knows so well and in which, perhaps, his two children will have the honor of shining one day, for his greatest pride.
