Weather: a rain zone crosses Belgium
After the dissipation of the morning grayness in the center and in the Ardennes, the weather will often be overcast on Sunday with some showers in the south of Belgium, according to the Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM). An area of rain will then invade all regions from the coast during the day. Snow may mix with rain in the Ardennes during the heaviest rainfall. The maxima will vary between 4°C in the Hautes Fagnes and 10 or 11°C at sea.
The rainy zone will leave the sky to the east and the weather will initially become quite variable, with sunny spells but also some showers. They will possibly be accompanied by a thunderclap on the coast, while they may adopt a winter character in Upper Belgium. Clouds will remain predominant south of the Sambre et Meuse furrow and may limit visibility there. The minima will vary between 2°C in the Hautes Fagnes and 6°C on the coast.
On Monday morning, low clouds or fog will sometimes reduce visibility over the Ardennes relief, while the other regions will benefit from often wide sunny spells. Then the sun will be gradually obscured by increasingly dense high and medium clouds. A zone of rain will attack our country from the French border in the late afternoon or evening. The maxima will be between 5 or 6°C on the heights of the Ardennes and 8°C in the center and the extreme south of the country.
