Toulouse. The TFC finds itself on the podium
> THE ESSENTIAL
After the minute of silence in memory of Johan Hamel, referee who died suddenly on Thursday, the meeting between two great player teams started very quickly. It’s a treat to see formations that only think about playing and as it takes two to play a good match, everything came together. If the Toulouse reserve only wins on the smallest margin, it still hits the posts twice. Facing an undefeated group with excellent players, the local youngsters raised their level to develop a men’s game. The Toulousains have often made their hosts dizzy forcing them to run behind the ball and often parry the most urgent. The only downside, perhaps, is the absence of distant attempts to try to bring out a compact group whose objective was obviously not to discover too much. By dint of insisting, the TFC obtained the just reward for its many efforts and subsequently knew how to defend it with lucidity and calm. This new victory propels the TFC on the podium.
> MEN
It is difficult to discern individual satisfaction as long as the young people of Toulouse have shown both personal and collective qualities.
The Beaucairois also showed great things with a very lively trio of Sylla-Valls-Groune attackers.
> THEY SAID
Jean-Christophe Debu (TFC B coach): “We entered the world of seniors by competing with Beaucaire. We were able to impose ourselves because there is quality, desire, determination, motivation. So we can do a lot of things when there are all those mental ingredients. We rose to the occasion.”
Sofyan Carletta (Beaucaire coach): “A lot of things were missed! We were technically overtaken on a beautiful surface which accelerated the game. The victory is logical, they still managed the post twice. We were insufficient enough to claim anything else.”
