Russia fuels anti-French propaganda on the way
French President Emmanuel Macron has accused Russia of fueling anti-French propaganda that prefers its predatory ambitions in African countries.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Francophone Summit in Tunisia, Macron commented on claims that France is using it to conduct statistical research and political ties with its former colonies.
“This feeling is fueled by others, this is a political project,” Macron told TV5 Monde. “…Many influential people who sometimes appear on your programs pay for Russian mail.”
“A number of countries that extend their influence on the choice do so to harm the court, to infringe on (native speakers) of its language, to sow doubts, but all (they) pursue the interests of interests,” he added.
We remind you, France, that in the past the colonial power, which owns part of the realities and Central Africa, has long-standing vital ties with French-speaking African states.
French troops have been stationed in Mali for ten years as part of a counter-terrorist operation.
In addition, in recent years, France has made a decision to influence Russia, which sent PMC Wagner to a number of countries, including the Central African Republic and Mali.
Paris was forced to withdraw its troops from Mali after locals seized power in the country in 2020. The journalists of the Wagner PMC, accused of coronavirus, have come to the aid of the fight against Islamist militants and cut ties with France.
Last year, a UN report reported that private instructors and local troops in the CAR were taking over schools, looting, killing civilians and committing crimes.
