Paris 8th: lunch at the club… | Gilles Pudlowski’s blog
Strange place for lunch in the heart of Paris and a stone’s throw from the Champs-Elysées: a games club open from 1 p.m. to dawn, with its elegant lounge for cigar smokers, and which serves fine cuisine under the of a former member of the Hôtel Costes, Eddy Bajeux. With his assistant, who has worked with Gordon Ramsay and Simone Zanoni, he is composing a wise, very costian, serious menu, with productshigh-strength ts.
On the menu: egg mayo with its well-seasoned lettuce, mustard mayonnaise, tuna tartare and spicy guacamole, mushroom velouté appearing on the proposals of the day, but also fillet of gilthead sea bream snacked and its small vegetables or fillet of beef with pepper with its buttered mashed potatoes and nicely seasoned Thai rice.
We add, in desserts, the fine fig tart and its yogurt ice cream signed Philippe Faur in Ariège, and fruit salad, without forgetting the very well chosen wines. White Sancerre the essence of the Domaine de la Rossignole, Pomerol Fugue de Nenin 2011 from the Delon family. Everything is served with delicacy and price without excess.
