Gergely Gulyás: Hungary has become the hope of the conservative bloc in the free world
Gergely Gulyás emphasized in his speech, delivered by the received portfolio to the MTI: we can never forget where we come from, where our roots are, which also means that we must respect our conservative core values: individual freedom, the rule of law, fiscal responsibility, free markets, Christian heritage and human dignity!
As he said, in the heart of Europe, Hungary has a thousand-year history, a rich culture and those strong reserves, the publications for the nation to survive even in the past.
Gergely Gulyás pointed out that the world’s leading mainstream media platforms give Hungarian coverage much more space than countries ten times larger. The liberal media usually mention the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán together with Donald Trump, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Jair Bolsonaro or Benjamin Netanyahu.
“Of course, there are huge differences between countries and leaders, but why is it that a country as big as ours is so important as a player in world politics? Why do our opponents try to destroy us and exclude us from the political scene. with force and with anger, like the conservative president of Brazil or the strongest power in the world, the former president of the United States of America? The answer is simple: Hungary has become the hope of the conservative bloc in the free world,” said Gergely Gulyás at the forum.
All told, this is proof that the conservative experiment can succeed. “If reliable and true information were to spread about my country, it would pose a serious risk for left-wing and progressive liberals, because others would start to follow our example. That’s why the mainstream lies about Hungary all day long. These lies and these fake news, fake news, the truth silence, this is the basic criterion of the liberal progressive media in the West,” Gergely Gulyás opined.
He emphasized: despite the accusations, Hungary is successful. A million more people have jobs today than a decade ago. Our economic growth has been one of the best in Europe for years. Wages have never grown as fast as they have in the past decade. Hungarian exports set records year after year, investors are happy to come to Hungary.
He noted: the more foreign governments criticize Hungary, the greater the interest of investors in us. This clearly showed the difference, the gap between ideology and reality. He cited the percentage corporate tax and 15 percent personal income tax as examples.
Guly Gerly emphasized: Hungary spends 5 percent of its GDP on family members, an increase compared to 2010, and this is the third highest ratio in the European Union. “Our opponents believe that anyone who believes that people are born either male or female is an enemy of liberty. They believe that anyone who believes that marriage can only be between a man and a woman is an enemy of the rule of law. They believe that a state only exists as long as it is able to protect its borders does not respect fundamental rights,” said the minister.
He added: those who believe that migration without integration is dangerous for society do not respect human dignity. They believe that those who believe in the importance of conservative media against mainstream liberals are against freedom of the press.
“This is why we say that progressive liberalism once did a lot for freedom in the 19th century, but today it has become the biggest enemy of freedom, a wheelbarrow. Today, progressive liberalism talks about political correctness, and the distinction between freedom of religion and freedom of speech and intolerance, and it is characterized by not respecting people’s free will,” Gergely Gulyás opined.
He emphasized: the Hungarian conservative political community and its leaders were able to clearly show their support for freedom and democracy better than anyone else. Today, everyone in the free world talks about the importance of these values as if they had lived in freedom, democracy and the rule of law all their lives. Meanwhile, Hungary’s few exceptional, conservative leaders were committed to freedom, democracy, and the rule of law even under the communist dictatorship. Even when it was not fashionable, but persecuted and punishable.
Gergely Gulyás invited the participants of the conference to the next CPAC event, which will be held in Budapest next May.
