“Continue the government’s spending spree”
Free back to attack the government on the subject of expenses for institutional transfer. Until October 2022, writes the party, exactly 223,996.45 euros have been spent on institutional travel. A considerable figure also by virtue of the financial difficulties facing our country.
In recent days, Libera explains, we have presented an interpellation in this regard and in the response that has come to us, for example, the moved to Glasgow of 25 October 2021 where exactly 16 thousand and 390.09 were spent with a delegation made up of the Captains Regent but also of the Secretaries Beccari and Canti, for the 26th COP 26 conference. For the COP 27 which took place from 6 to 18 November 2022 in Sharm El-Sheikh, declares Libera, we are faced with yet another resolution with the superdelegation headed by Song Secretary. A week in Egypt, writes the party, could, in our opinion, be managed differently in an initiative, albeit an important one. What strikes the most is something else, Libera affirms, together with Canti the initiative was also attended by the Director of the AASLP Barulli expensed with allocation to the relative AASLP budget. Instead of renewing the employee contract – adds Libera – the AASLP money is used for the Director’s trip to Sharm and for the gala dinner for 500 guests.
We ask, we write the party, for what reasons it participated having different functions with respect to the political and institutional issues dealt with by the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change: “We believe that a greater discretion in spending and in the composition of institutional delegations traveling for official meetings, it would be absolutely necessary”. Finally, a political consideration: “We hope that Network who until 3 years ago made the list of expenses with the dreaded column like I turn you off in consultancy, today obviously finished by the wayside – declares Libera – can raise its head with respect to this method of managing public money “.
