Camin Sobiran

An intimate acoustic singing duo formed by Lutxi Achiary and Thomas Baudoin, Aèdes is accompanied by an unusual instrumentarium, both light and minimalist: two shruti box Indians, two string tambourines from Béarn, whose sounds are close to the timbre of the singers. A woman and a man, side by side, give voice to songs in unison, songs in polyphony, from the Gascon oral repertoire.

Love songs, haunting epics or brutal grief, between fresh litanies and luminous lamentations, we hear in the songs of Aèdes the Pyrenean resonances of the voices of Lutxi Achiary and Thomas Baudoin which play and intertwine on the Camin Sobiranthe path of the ridges, on a wire in a subtle poetic balance.
