Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) finished second in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix behind Max Verstappen (Red Bull). A performance that allows him to finish vice-world champion behind the Dutchman, winner of fifteen races this season.
At the end of a last suspenseful Grand Prix for the honorary place of vice-world champion, the Monegasque driver won his duel at a distance with Sergio Perez (Red Bull).

Helped by a change of strategy to one stop against two for the Mexican driver, Charles Leclerc finally finished the race ten seconds ahead of his rival.
Looking ahead to next season
“I was 110% from the first to the last lap. Despite the tire problems this season, I changed my strategy and it worked well, welcomed the Monegasque at the end of the race. I’m really happy, it’s a good race to go on vacation. I hope we will take a step forward next season. Red Bull is still a level above today, we have to work to find the current performance that we are missing. But today we have optimized everything, it’s good to see that we can maximize performance in the team. »

In the world championship, Max Verstappen (454 points) is ahead of Charles Leclerc (308 points) and Sergio Perez (305 points). In the constructors’ standings, Red Bull (759 points), already crowned, finished ahead of Ferrari (554 points) and Mercedes (515 points).
