Bolzano falls against Vienna, second consecutive defeat for the league leaders – OA Sport
Here comes the second consecutive defeat for Bolzano in the Ice Hockey 2022-2023 ICE League Championship. In fact, the Foxes had to give way today in Vienna, away from home for 3-5.
The Italian team, still leading the standings, started the dispute in the best possible way by signing the 1-0 with Halmo after only 30 seconds. But the Austrians’ response came practically immediately, thanks to Bauer’s equalizing goal (4:31). In the second half the guests will then go up to the chair, finding the advantage with Bradley (3:18) and extending with Rotter (12:19). Bolzano, however, does not break down and, from a power-play situation, shortens the distance with Frattin (18:21).
After a very fought start to the third period, the Viennese, always in power playmanages to find the right bottleneck by getting back on the run at 9:45, only to be approached again by Miceli at 17:21. It will then be a goal by Bradley, with an empty goal, to deliver the success to the Austrians, able to interrupt a string of three consecutive defeats.
