From November 22 to 27, the international marionnettissimo festival discover the contemporary puppet in Tournefeuille, Toulouse and surroundings. More than 60 performances are scheduled.
” Every year in November, the marionnettissimo festival is a time teeming with experimentation, discovery and celebration » : this is how the organizers of the festival present the event. From Tuesday November 22 to Sunday November 27, it holds its 25th edition.
Based in Tournefeuille, this puppet festival also travels to Toulouse and other towns in Occitanie, for a total of 21 venues. New proof of the Occitan passion for the puppet.
This edition also makes us discover or rediscover seven companies from Occitania. Five others come from Catalonia, and seven from the rest of France, nineteen companies. On the program, an evening of performances for all audiences. Shows but also workshops, professional meetings, screenings or exhibitions.
The highlights of the puppet festival
The company “The Angels on the Ceiling” will come on Thursday, November 24 to the inauguration of the puppet festival at 7 p.m. at the Escale de Tournefeuille, not far from Toulouse. At 9 p.m., place at “Bal Puppettique”, with more than 100 puppets.
Saturday November 26 during the day, focus on Catalan companies. Then meet at 9:30 p.m. for a Mario’Night ” who from the ceiling to the dancefloor will take over the Bistrot de l’Escale for a musical and puppet evening “.
For young audiences, Sunday 27 November will be the day not to be missed, with the organization of a afternoon of family shows at the Tournefeuille Lighthouse.
