Rimini at the top as a ‘vital territory in the cultural offer’
And the province of Rimini the one with the highest number of viewers for entertainment and sports events in relation to the population. This is what emerges – underlines the Municipality of Rimini – from the annual report Siae 2021′Entertainment and sport in the Italian cultural system’ according to which Emilia-Romagna is the first region with the highest level of attraction of spectators with 248 per 100 inhabitants, followed by Veneto with 208, Tuscany with 169, Lombardy with 162 , Lazio with 160.
In this framework, it is highlighted again, the province of Rimini stands out, with the Italian record of 768 spectators of shows for every 100 inhabitants, followed on the podium by Verona (489) and Ravenna (389). In the top ten also Forlì-Cesena (5/a with 277), Venice (6/a with 263), Milan (7/a with 244), Florence (8/a, with 242) and Bologna (9/a, 237 ). Rimini, again, is in 6th place in Italy for the percentage share of spectators on the Italian total (3.07%), with 2,586,377 presences and admissions recorded in 2021 and is also the leader among the provinces for average spending per inhabitant compared to the Italian average: about 101 euros are spent per inhabitant, against 97 in Verona and 62 in Ravenna.
“This analysis comes a few weeks after the publication of the report from the Symbol Foundationwhich confirmed Rimini among the top twenty in Italy by incidence on the local economy of the number of people employed in the Cultural and Creative Production System – observes the Municipal Administration of Rimini -: the two reports together give us a snapshot of a territory that produces and consumes culture and entertainment, vital and creative from the point of view of the offer, confirming how this sector is an important engine for the economic as well as social growth of the territory”.
