“Let Your Heart Speak” is a collection of unused toys organized in the Pas-de-Calais to help the most modest families and avoid waste. It takes place from Saturday 19 to Sunday 27 November 2022 during the European Week for Waste Reduction.
Toys designated for the Emmaüs association
This call for donations will allow hundreds of low-income families to offer Christmas gifts to their children, but also to extend the life of thousands of toys. Donors can drop off toys they no longer use “provided they are complete and in good condition,” a press release said.
All types of toys are concerned by the solidarity collection: electric, electronic, wooden, construction, society, disguises, stuffed animals or even dolls. “The objective is to put out signs, all the toys and games that are not used and that could please other children. »
Toys collected will be donated to the Emmaüs Les Attaques association. They will then be sorted, tested, completed, cleaned and repaired, so that they can be offered to families in difficulty or resold at solidarity prices, on the occasion of the end-of-year celebrations.
Santa’s hoods are ready to fill up from November 19 to 27, 2022, in the eight recycling centers in the SEVADEC territory. Collection points are detailed here. A great operation for underprivileged children in the area.
