Tribute to the new Spanish documentary at the Exile Room in Athens
The Exile Room at 12 Athinas Street in Monastiraki, Athens is launching the new screening season with two of the most creative documentaries we have seen lately, “Tolyatti Adrift” (participation in Visions du Réel, Hot Docs, DOK Leipzig etc. ) and “Magaluf Ghost Town”, as stated in the relevant announcement.
As part of the tribute, director Laura Sisteró (“Tolyatti Adrift”) will perform, who together with cinematographer and director Carlos Muñoz Gómez-Quintero will present a workshop where still photography meets documentary cinematography.

Tolyatti, a landmark city for Soviet glory, has now turned into a Russian Detroit, a place without a future that seems to be on the brink of hell. With the highest unemployment rate in the entire country, it has forced teenagers to invent new ways to escape from the harsh reality, culminating in ‘Boyevaya Klassika’.
