Toulouse-Blagnac airport regains (almost) its post-covid figures
The attendance of theToulouse Blagnac airport regain altitude. Altered by the health crisis, the figures recorded by the airport platform have almost regained their post-covid momentum. Indeed, theToulouse airport announces that site traffic was 76.5% from 2019 to the third quarter. 1,905,338 commercial passengers were transported to theBlagnac airport.

National traffic takes off again
national traffic accounted for 73.6% of the third quarter of 2019 with no less than 786,947 passengers passing through the site. The latter also states that in the third quarter, “travel in France represented 41.3% of the platform’s commercial flights”. In other words, in terms of commercial flights in France, theToulouse airport is only 1.6 points away from returning to its 2019 figures.
Traffic from Toulouse to Paris is 27.1% with 515,642 passengers flying to the capital, which represents 74.5% of the third quarter of 2019.

Logically, it is Paris-CDG which is the 2nd busiest line and achieved 72.4% of its traffic compared to 2019. As regards the provincial lines, they welcomed 271,305 passengers, i.e. 71 9% in Q3 2019, according to figures from Toulouse airport. “The attraction for low-cost companies was again confirmed in the 3rd quarter, with traffic up 6% compared to 2019”, specifies the site.

Rebound in international traffic
As the health crisis passed and travel restrictions lifted, air traffic was able to resume internationally. A phenomenon clearly visibleToulouse-Blagnac airport since it records 1,118,391 passengers. A figure that represents 78.7% of Q3 2019.
“The share of this traffic rose sharply in the 3rd quarter and even exceeded for the first time since the start of the crisis its 2019 level with 58.7%” rejoices the platform”.

Outside Europe, the majority of international traffic took place in North Africa. A destination which represents 80.5% of this international traffic. “This has decreased by 26.1% compared to 2019”, compares the Toulouse airport. In addition, Moroccan destinations were widely acclaimed. Last important figure of this report, freight and post traffic represents 63.8% of the third quarter of 2019 with 9,959 tonnes absorbed.
