In the metro station Eskomoravsk, the tiles are replaced, their design is determined
The original one of the removable ceramic cladding of the wall and saw on the board turned out to be unsuitable. Ceramics in contact with water from the sprinkler has its properties and ability to function as a supporting system, which unfortunately does not allow the installation of the tile without damaging it and its reuse, said only the board of directors and the technical editor DDP Metro Marek Kopiva.
As part of the reconstruction of the station, the builder will therefore have to build a new cladding, which allows the client to announce a contract for a graphic-artistic cladding.
According to Kopiva, Clem is the most suitable design for the interior of the station, which fully reflects the design tradition of the Prague metro
On the basis of this proposal, the designer, in cooperation with the author’s team, will complete the station reconstruction project in the fifth year, we will prepare the required documentation, and in the second half of the fifth year, we would like to announce a public contract for the contractor of the building itself, added Kopiva.
The subject of the meeting is the proposal for the design and color of the lining of the tunnel constructions on the entrance itself, in the escalator tunnel and in the vestibule of the Eskomoravsk metro station within the material guardrails defined by the designer.
Author teams can send their proposals until December 1. In total, I will receive a reward of 150,000 crowns. The second prize is 120,000 crowns, and the prize for this place is 80,000 crowns. The winner will be decided by a jury.
The basic stimulus for the interior composition of the station was the historical libretto IB and II.B, which, among other things, used the tools of author’s glass and ambient lighting, supplemented the specification of the requirements of the court Anna várc, subway architect and project manager of DPP.
The operational experience of DPP then formulated a practical coating on the steps, which follows on from the series of IV.B stations. Due to the diversity of the interior of the eskomoravsk station, no room is open to different approaches, their choice is certainly up to the authors of the proposal. As a result, there should be one that increases the architectural and artistic value of the city and the overall benefit from the new station, Varc added.
Tom Vank, visual artist and pedagogue from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, Zuzana Lednick, graphic designer of Studio Najbrt, architect Lenka Mkov will sit in the independent jury, Anna Varc, subway architect and project manager of DPP and Jan Totuek, architect and project manager DPP responsible for the reconstruction of the Esko Moravsk metro station.
Vladimr Bro, an artist, graphic artist, illustrator, publicist and rapper known as Vladimir 518, according to Ondej Krulikovsk, head of the DPP Metro Construction and Tracks unit, will sit on the jury, with an advisory vote, Pemysl Kotoul, a representative of the Metroprojekt company, the general designer of the station reconstruction, and David Wittassek, architect of the planned new developer buildings around the Esko Moravsk station from the Quarta architecture studio.
