Caritas urgently needs sleeping bags for homeless people in Salzburg
KHard to believe, but true: even in wealthy Salzburg there are people who have to sleep on the streets in winter. There are many reasons for this: Some people cannot find accommodation in Salzburg’s emergency shelters because they are often filled to capacity in winter. Others have difficulty finding their way around the shared rooms or for other personal reasons.
400 sleeping bags are needed for the winter. 20 are currently in stock.
But for whatever reason: spending the night outdoors is not only stressful, it can even be life-threatening at these temperatures. That is why Caritas Salzburg gives over 400 sleeping bags to the needy every year. Ascending trend. At the moment, however, there are only about 20 sleeping bags left – and the winter hat hasn’t even started yet. The Caritas team therefore urgently asks for your support.
Do you have an (old) sleeping bag at home?
Then please bring him to Haus Elisabeth (Plainstraße 42a) as a matter of urgency. You are making a valuable contribution and enabling people to survive the cold at least a little more bearably. Important: For obvious reasons, no summer sleeping bags are required. Alternatively, you can also support with a monetary donation, which will specifically benefit homeless people in Salzburg. That works here!
