Toulouse. After registering good orders, Airbus announces great news in China

This is great news for the aircraft manufacturer based in Toulouse. On Wednesday November 9, 2022, Airbus announced the start of assembly of its very first A321neo on its assembly line TianjinFr spine. This device will be delivered at the beginning of 2023.
A FAL that has already delivered more than 600 aircraft
Inaugurated in 2008, this Asia final assembly line (FALA, Final Assembly Line Asia) could originally assemble A319 and A320. In 14 years of activity, it has made it possible to deliver over 600 aircraft. “It has become a model of successful Sino-European cooperation”, welcomes the manufacturer.
In November 2021, Airbus breathed new life into its Chinese site. For this, Boeing’s rival has undertaken work to enable this plant to produce A321neos.
“By the end of 2022, all commercial aircraft assembly sites will be capable of producing A321s, as part of the industrial strategy to de-risk the ramp-up and meet the growing share of production of A321.”
Despite Comac, Airbus strengthens its presence in China
If China is seeing the emergence of a whole new builder – With wires C919, Comac wants to compete with Airbus A320 family aircraft and Boeing 737 MAX -, the national companies continue to call on the European aircraft manufacturer.
In early July, Airbus announced a mega order for 292 A320neo aircraft. Customers are Air China, eastern china, South China and Shenzhen Airlines.
End of SeptemberXiamenAir also decided to trust Airbus. The company, which operated only with Boeings, also spent a fine order for 40 A320neo family aircraft.
