San Marino: Friday march for the freedom of Iranian women
In Iran the protests are growing day by day. Over 300 people are in prison, under investigation for the protests that erupted after the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini and 4 protesters have already been sentenced to death.
After what happened to the young Mahsa, killed by the moral police for wearing the veil “inappropriately”, people’s anger towards the regime has increased. For 43 years, the demands of the population have been ignored and now in various cities women and young people are protesting against the authorities who shoot and have already killed hundreds of people. A revolution is underway.
Unione Donne San Marino wanted to organize a “March for the Freedom of Iranian Women” to express the solidarity of the citizens of San Marino with the Iranian women who are fighting – and for this reason they are also arrested, tortured and killed – for their rights.
The march will be held on Friday 4 November 2022 with departure at 17 from Piazza Sant’Agata, in the city, and arrival in Piazza della Libertà.
