OFI left Thessaloniki with a point
The Cretan team took the lead in the second half and made it difficult for Aris, who quickly found the equalizer and then pushed for a second goal. The point does not cease to be quite important for OFI, on the other hand it is not satisfactory that it does not manage for a game in a row and eighth in total with the Cup to become the joy of victory.
A draw that keeps OFI low in the standings with 7 points in 11th place. On the other hand, Aris, with one win in the last games, is not in his best form with Pardiu on the bench.
OFI entered better in the first minutes and even had the first phase in the 14th minute. From Pera’s photo, Guerrero got the header, but Cuesta made an excellent save.
Shortly after, Aris reacted and came close to 1-0, but Garcia’s long-range shot in the 20th minute was stopped by Manda’s crossbar. In the 36th minute, the same player scored, but his goal was disallowed as offside and with the indication of VAR.
The second half started with OFI getting better again and finally finding the goal in the 49th minute. It was a team effort and from Guerrero’s pass, o Toral he was the one who scored the 0-1, freezing “Vikelidis”.
Aris tried to react shortly after in the 55′, but Gray couldn’t catch the ball on Odubazo’s turn. Finally in the next phase it was 1-1, with Grey protagonist again, since with a terrible shot he left no room for Manda.
In the following minutes, Aris applied pressure for 2-1 and came close in the 86th minute, with Camatsos, but the shot he made from a good position went just over the posts.
