Toulouse: two men and a woman injured by knives in the night
Two men aged 17 and 29 were rescued in the Bagatelle district. A 25-year-old young woman was treated in the Thibaud zone.
They are a real scourge and are multiplying in Toulouse. Three new stabbings occurred overnight from Saturday to Sunday. The firefighters were called for a first victim at 1:04 a.m. on Chemin de Bagatelle. A 29-year-old man was injured in the forearm. After receiving treatment on site, he was transported to Purpan hospital. His days were not in danger.
The second assault was reported to the emergency services a few minutes later, at 1:21 a.m., a few hundred meters from the first injured. This time, it was a very young 17-year-old boy who was cut in the cheek at the level of the Fontaine-Lestang metro. The firefighters but also the Samu took care of the teenager who was medicalized on the spot before his transfer to the clinic of L’Union. His vital prognosis was not engaged.
These two aggressions occur in the same perimeter and in a very short turn of time. Are the two cases related? For now, there is nothing to confirm this. In both cases, the police services moved to make findings. Departmental security is in charge of the investigation.
Checks are piling up
A third stab victim had to be rescued on Boulevard de Thibaud, southwest of the city at 2:30 a.m. It was a young woman of around 25 who was hit in the skull. His injuries required his transport to the Ambroise-Paré clinic.
This week two other people were stabbed in Toulouse. Tuesday, shortly after 5 p.m. in the heart of the city, in the Esquirol sector, a young man of 20 was stabbed in the chest by a man who fled. The latter ended up being arrested by the police in the Empalot district after getting rid of the knife in a sewer. At the end of his police custody, he was indicted for attempted murder. His victim, whose vital prognosis was initially engaged, was finally out of the woods. The next day, at the end of the day, a big brawl had broken out in Square De Gaulle, behind the Capitol. A 15-year-old boy was shot in the thigh.
The police, under the authority of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, are increasing the checks aimed at the carrying of prohibited weapons. On Thursday, four people were arrested.
