It is expected that the guest workers who will work on the construction of the BMW factory in Debrecen will be accommodated in a container city being built outside the city. According to the local opposition, so many people are coming that it can be noticed in the city as well.
“Thousands of foreign, large Turkish guest workers are coming to the city to live here for a specified period of time and, according to our information, in container houses. I raised the question at the general assembly by asking the mayor how many foreign leaders had arrived and how the city was prepared,” said the ATV News Zsolt Zoárd Gondola, local government representative of the Civil Forum Association. According to the DK parliamentarian living in Debrecen, the creation of Hungarian jobs was originally promised when the factory was announced.
“Now we hear that they want to bring more than two thousand Pakistani, Turkish, and who knows what kind of guest workers here. Installed in Bódéváros, where neither public safety, nor public health, nor health care, nor education, nor anything will be solved,” said Zoltán Varga, a representative of the DK parliament.
The mayor of Debrecen said: he does not understand the concerns of the left-wing representatives, because citizens of nearly a hundred nations already work and study in the city.
