Good news for those traveling between Hosszúpályi and Debrecen
As part of one of the largest road renovation programs of recent years, the Terület- és Tépülésféjlészti Operatív Program (TOP), about 160 kilometers of side roads in the country will be renewed in 89 sections, worth more than 31 billion 600 million forints in the investment of Magyar Közút Nonprofit Zrt. In the course of the projects paid from the non-refundable support of the European Union, 31 and a half kilometers of roads have been rebuilt on 21 road sections, and work is currently underway on 16 sections.
In Hajdú-Bihar county, more than 22 kilometers of side roads have been renovated since 2018, using about 2 billion 700 million forints from the TOP. As a result of the investments, we can drive safely on the M35 side of the road between the M35 and Hajdúnánás, and on the section of the M35 – Hajdúnánás road on the side of Hajdúnánás (road 3323); Between Szerep and Sárrétudvari (road 4211), on the part of road 4213 in the interior of Nagyrábé, and on the Nyíradony – Nyíracsád-Asszonyrész – Nyíracsád settlement center line (road 9404).
Magyar Közút informed Hajdú Online: there is currently no new road section under construction within the framework of the TOP, the next development of the 7,700 meter long section of the Debrecen-Hószúpályi road can start in the first half of 2023.
TOP projects have in common that, as part of the renovations, the specialists take care of the profile milling of the pavement, the necessary pavement reinforcements, the installation of new asphalt binding and wear layers on the entire surface, and the construction of a new stabilized bench in the renovation sections. But not only the road, but its surroundings, the ditches and culverts will also be renewed, and the traffic engineering elements will also be replaced or renovated by the contractors, that is, the KRESZ signs will be replaced, and new permanent pavement markings will be painted – details the announcement of Magyar Közút.
Within the framework of the program, 592 kilometers of sections of 241 roads have been renovated in recent years, with a total value of HUF 65 billion. A significant part of the 160 kilometers of development carried out from the current country’s residual framework has already started or will start this year, but there will also be works carried over to next year. The improvements greatly increase traffic safety, traffic safety, and the standard of care on the affected roads. And with a similar development, not only the drivers on the given road section win, because the operating resources freed up by the renovations can thus be used by Közút specialists on other sections to provide suitable travel conditions for motorists there as well.
