An event on the origins of Halloween in Toulouse

Do you know Samhain? It is one of the four Celtic religious festivals. This announced the beginning of a new year and that of the “dark” season, but above all it would correspond to a period during which the dead and the living could meet. Samhain would thus be linked to Halloween. The organizers of Graalfest, a Celtic, medieval and Occitan festival, invites you to discover and celebrate this feast of the dead this weekend. For the occasion, the Music Factory will be transformed into a real medieval village.

Craftsmen and artists, in particular the Compagnie Les Vagabondes, will be present to transport you to the time of the Middle Ages. On the program: entertainment for children, wanderings, storytelling, concerts and shows. All with a hint of magic. During this event, you should not miss the start of the Samhain celebration. A unique musical show with fire and dancing awaits you on Saturday evening. The next day, it will be your turn to dance at the traditional ball.

Practical information: Samhain Celebration, Saturday October 29 from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Music Factory, rue Louis Bonin in Toulouse.
