The first men’s basketball league has completed six rounds and Sršni Photomate Písek are second behind GBA Lions Jindřichův Hradec with a record of five wins and one defeat (they suffered at home against J. Hradec). In the last round at home, they beat SP Basket 127:74. “A great attacking phase must have amused many spectators again. When we stick, we are almost invulnerable, which was confirmed again. However, it is a nightmare for coaches. Tactical preparation for the defense and video analysis were completely useless, because we accomplished absolutely nothing, and so I had no choice but to give it up after a few minutes. With more respect for the opponent, let’s say that he couldn’t beat us, but even so, getting 43 points at halftime is too much for the home scoreboard. On the other hand, SP Basket just deserved them, I really liked his game and I’m very excited about where this team is going. With the age composition of the team and the systematic work, I believe that in a few years he can be a very unpleasant opponent. Anyway, we have tough tests in the coming weeks and I’m curious how we’ll hold up and whether we’ll be able to add momentum in the defensive half, because that’s the biggest fear of the upcoming games for me,” coach Jan Čech evaluated the match with SP Basket.
In the next round, Sršni will travel to Prague’s Folimanka, where a duel with USK Praha awaits on October 28 from 7 p.m. “The strength of the opponent is always difficult to estimate, because it depends on how many pendulums from the A-team the opponent deploys. Just like the Hornets are the favorites. If you don’t go directly to the match under the Nuselský most, you can watch the match on the tvcom.cz platform,” he says to the fans club chairman Miroslav Janovský.
Let us remind you that last weekend the U17 team from Písek also played twice in their extra league competition. He brought two championships from the Pilsen team and after six rounds leads the table with a full number of points. Teams in second and third place already lose two points.
