The football league has probably the most anticipated match of the autumn part of the season ahead, not only footballers, coaches, fans, but also former players who wore the Prague “S” jersey are looking forward to the 304th derby between Slavia and Sparta. “My first priority is work in Teplice, but everyone is looking forward to the derby. I also have a slavist in the coaching staff, so we’ve been peaking for a week now and we wish our colors well,” admits the current coach of Teplic to Radiožurnál.
The former national team defender recognized it as a players’ derby between Liberec and Jablonec, later the biggest Czech one between Sparta and Slavia.
He enjoyed the derby
He experienced, for example, a battle between the big Moscow clubs CSKA and Spartak, or a match between two leading Scottish teams, Rangers and Celtic, whose jersey he also wore in the past.
“Almost everywhere I worked, I enjoyed the derby. Whether it was small North Bohemian and it gradually grew into large Czech, Scottish and Russian. Every derby is great to experience because there is a great atmosphere, a lot is written about it and the fans are impatient,” admits Jarošík.
The waiting period for all football connoisseurs will end on Sunday evening, when the opening whistle will sound from the mouth of referee Miroslav Zelinka at 19:00 in the sold-out Fortuna Arena. The match will be broadcast live by the Radiožurnál Sport station and the iROZHLAS.cz server will offer detailed coverage online reporting.
