Of the FC Pinzgau Saalfelden died on Saturday afternoon Austria Salzburg with 1:0 lows. Scored the game-winning goal Semir Gvozdjar middle of the second half. While the Pinzgauers keep the mini-chance of entering the national spring playoff, the state capitals have to tremble again about losing the lead in the table.

Plus chances on the Saalfelden side
An attractive and fast-paced party took place in front of 400 partly fanatical spectators on difficult ground conditions. The Saalfeldeners did not hide against the favored league throne holder, but try to set accents quickly. “We found our game very well and did our job really well,” said Saalfelden’s interim coach Markus Fürstaller. A shot by the tientmayr and two chances by Gvozdjar were on the plus side, but there was no harvest. In the end, a quarter of an hour had to pass before the violets became dangerous for the first time. And this opportunity for the townsfolk had it all: Another ball was found by Hödl’s Bonje, which forced Pinzgau keeper Schröcker to do a great reflex, directing the play equipment to the pole. The hosts put in an enormous amount of effort, showed themselves to be strong in their running and trumped with a strong duel performance. Towards the end of the first part of the game, the Fürstaller boys are again approaching the lead goal. Only a few centimeters are missing from a Tandari flick, before a 25-metre shot by Moosmann also just missed the target.
Well rested Gvozdjar secured FC Pinzgau three points
The fifteen-minute tea break seemed to have done Salzburg Austria good. Because after the change of sides, the violet shifts up a gear and takes command of this match. A chance to head the ball and two spectacular saves by Schröcker in the goal of the Saalfelden team were the almost logical consequence. “In the second half of the war, Austria Salzburg was very present and pushed hard,” admitted Fürstaller. In the 65th minute, however, the home camp was able to celebrate: Gvozdjar answered the fastest in the guest box and scored a shot into the far corner to take the 1-0 lead. In the final act, Austria threw everything back into the balance and was unlucky for the second time. All in all, however, FC Pinzgau held the narrow lead and celebrated their third win in three games under Fürstaller’s leadership. “We saved ourselves over the finish line with fight and passion. It was a great fight and in the end my team deserved a home win. Now we want to take the momentum with us,” said Fürstaller.
