The French championships in Toulouse
The French senior padel championships, organized by the French Tennis Federation, take place on the grounds of the Toulouse Padel Club from October 21 to 23.
Toulouse, padel capital for a weekend. From this Friday and until Sunday, the meeting is fixed at the Toulouse Padel Club for the 7th edition of the French Padel Championships, organized by the French Tennis Federation and sponsored by Wilson. The best French padel players have the opportunity to win the coveted title of champion of France. A total of 32 female and male pairs are in contention during this final phase.
Among the ladies, Alix Collombon and Léa Godallier (Ligue Occitanie), who will be aiming for a second consecutive title, are the big favorites of these French championships. Alix Collombon will even try to win a fifth title after 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. For her part, Elodie Invernon, an unfortunate finalist last year, is associated for this 2022 edition with Charlotte Soubrié (Ligue Occitanie). She will thus try to take her revenge and win a first victory in this event.
Occitanie and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes compete for titles
The pairs made up of Jessica Ginier-Barbier and Lucile Pothier (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes League) as well as Amélie Detrivière and Mélissa Marin will also have a good part to play during these championships, as will the Fiona Ligi / Laura Clergue teams ( Occitanie League) or Marie Lefèvre / Mélanie Ros (Pays de la Loire League)
On the men’s side, Johan Bergeron, four-time French champion, and Benjamin Tison (Ligue Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes), will try to retain their title. Bastien Blanqué and Thomas Leygue (Ligue Occitanie), unfortunate finalists last year, will also be serious contenders for final victory. But the competition will be tough with the presence of the pairs Adrien Maigret / Jérémy Scatena, Justin Lopes / François Authier (Ligue Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes), or even Benjamin Grue / Maxime Moreau.
