Car sharer MILES now also in Brussels, Antwerp follows (Brussels)
From Tuesday you can car-sharing in Brussels with MILES. You are for the number of kilometers you drive, not per minute. You can also book cars via hourly and daily rates. The German car-sharing company is also active in Ghent and plans to expand further to Antwerp.

The originally German MILES starts in the capital with a fleet of about a hundred Opel Corsa’s. Additional models, including electric ones, will arrive in the weeks and months. City-to-city trips between Brussels and Ghent are already possible, and travel to and from Brussels Airport is planned for the near future.
After downloading the app and the digital registration process, you can use a MILES shared car. You have the vehicle you have in mind via an interactive map. You can rent immediately or after a free reservation of ten minutes, longer reservations are paid. After the ride, you can end the rental via the app within the activity area that you can view in the app. MILES has no fixed pitches. In addition to the standard rate (0.98 euros/kilometre) and temporary parking (0.29 euros/minute), there are also various formulas from three hours to thirty days.
Not all costs and conscious use
Spatial MILES Mobility also a ‘charity car’ per city. The income from the journeys of these cars goes entirely to a local charity. In Brussels, this is a project of the Red Cross for the benefit of the homeless.
“Shared cars are part of the future of the car in the city.
