where to find gasoline near Toulouse, the point this Thursday morning
Emmanuel Macron expects a return to normal next week. In the meantime, gas stations are being stormed, and restrictions at the pump are increasing. So where can you find fuel in real time in Toulouse and Haute-Garonne? Here is our interactive map.
“I have a thought for all of our compatriots who are queuing in the middle of the night to find gasoline”, declared Emmanuel Macron during an interview this Wednesday, October 12, 2022 in the evening on France 2. It must be said that the blockage in the refineries of TotalEnergies and Esso-ExxonMobil remains topical and that social dialogue is struggling to forge . Result: the situation remains tense to find fuel in service stations.
Queues, stations closed pending resupply, prefectural measures… To help you find fuel near Toulouse, and more generally in Haute-Garonne, we suggest an interactive map updated every half hour.
The map that we offer below was produced from information published by the government on the site fuel-prices.gouv.fr. Stations where there is no diesel or gasoline available are displayed in red. Otherwise, it is specified what type of fuel is available at the station.
By clicking on a point on the map, you can also consult the prices charged. The data is updated every half hour, however, it may not accurately reflect the reality of the situation at the pump.
“Like many departments, Haute-Garonne is affected by the lack of fuel availability in a number of service stations“, Specifies the prefecture Tuesday, October 11. Added to this, “a significant level of overconsumption of fuel” compared to usual.
Étienne Guyot, prefect of the Occitanie and Haute-Garonne region has therefore decided to ban the sale of fuel packaged in bison or jerry cans, until Friday October 14 inclusive.
For the time being, motorists are not rationed at the pump as in the Tarn or in the Hautes-Pyrénées where the prefects have issued orders to this effect. But measures are to be planned to facilitate access to the stations for certain professionals such as the emergency and health services.
The government carried out its threat. Faced with strikers determined to continue their movement for wages in the refineries, a first requisition was made in order to unblock the fuel depot of the Normandy refinery of Esso-ExxonMobil.
“Faced with the renewal of the strike by part of the staff in Port-Jérôme (Seine-Maritime), in Normandy, the government is launching the requisition of the personnel essential to the operation of the depot. The requisition will start today“, told AFP the Ministry of Energy Transition.
On Wednesday October 12, 2022, six of the seven refineries in France (the four from TotalEnergies and the two from Esso-ExxonMobil) were affected by blockages and strikes.
