Henrique Chaves in search of triumph on his return to Portugal
For the first time since 2018, Henrique Chaves will compete in Portugal over the weekend. At the end of the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) season, he competes as 4 Hours of Portimão, looking for a podium in the LMGTE alongside John Hartshorne and Jonny Adam in the Aston Martin #95 of Oman Racing with TF Sport.
About his return to Portugal, the driver from Torres Vedras commented: ‘It’s fantastic to be able to race here again, after such a long break. It’s nice to feel the support of the fans and we’re going to have a lot of guests, which makes this event very special. I really like this circuit, it’s one of my favourites, and we’re going to try with all this in our favor’.
Chaves was aware that he is facing a difficult difficult, saying: ‘This circuit is very complicated for endurance events, such as high and difficult curves, difficult as. Let’s anticipate all these situations and win.’
As for his ambitions, the Portuguese made it clear that he will win: ‘I’m convinced that John is even more determined to have an excellent race in Portimão and, as usual, Jonny and I are going to do our best. Our focus is to finish the season with a win and for that we have to work hard and that’s what we’re going to do from the first moment we hit the track’.
