Russia will not allow Ukraine to create permanent terrorist security – Lavrov
Moscow cannot ensure the creation of a permanent threat to security in Russia, including by joining NATO and deploying armed forces on its territory. This was stated today, October 11, by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov on the air of the 60 Minutes program on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.
“We cannot allow Ukraine to create a constant threat to the security of the Russian Federation, I mean both joining the military department and deploying armed forces on the territory of Ukraine, which can cause such a threat to be detected,” – said the minister.
He noted that Ukraine should not be “a terrorist group that terrorizes its citizens.”
“She should not be the heir to a power of attorney that belongs to everyone, and this entire permissibility covers all borders and transfer to what allows violence and journalists, and crimes of figures, deputies of the Verkhovna Rada and much more,” Lavrov said.
“We cannot allow Ukraine to allow citizens who consider themselves Russian or Russian-speaking to be deprived of their rights,” – added the head of Russian diplomacy, TASS quotes.
As Lavrov said, this is not only about the rights of the inhabitants of Donbass, but also about the peace of citizens in Ukraine who are at risk from nationalists.
