Toulouse: Lény realizes his dream thanks to the association Petits Princes
Last Saturday, Lény experienced an exceptional day meeting prestigious units of the National Police in Toulouse.
Suffering from a brain tumour, this 17-year-old teenager, passionate about police investigations and forensic science, thus realized his dream thanks to the Petits Princes association and the IPA 78 (International Police Association). Taken care of in the morning at his home in Escalquens by Didier, volunteer of the association, and by Walid of the IPA 78, here is our little prince left with his family, and under good escort, for the PTS (Technical Police Scientist) and its gunshot residue analysis laboratory. He then joined UCL 31 and 82 (Light Canine Units) for a spectacular demonstration with a narcotics sniffer dog and then with an intervention/defense dog.
Impressed, Lény later confessed, “that’s what I preferred”. He finally has the privilege of going to meet a Raid 31 team for a visit to their premises with a presentation of the arsenal and the means available to this elite corps. A dense program which ended with the friendship drink, the delivery of many souvenir gifts and, a nice surprise for Lény, a big birthday cake on which he celebrated his 17th birthday. After a concert of the “Enfoirés” in Paris in 2019, it is for Lény, the second dream which materializes thanks to the association Petits Princes. “In fact, we not only fulfill 500 dreams of seriously ill children and adolescents per year, we also provide long-term follow-up and support for these children and their families”, underlines Didier, the volunteer who came especially from the region.
