Toulouse. The Night of Toulouse Heroes at the Cité de l’Espace
The 4th edition of the evening “the city of which you are the heroes”, took place on Monday at the Cité de l’Espace. Some 200 guests and many elected officials gathered for this event reserved for members of the citizen participation bodies of the city of Toulouse. Territorial bodies such as neighborhood offices, citizen or thematic councils and workshops such as the Toulouse youth council, student life council, municipal children’s council, etc. All gathered around a cocktail for a friendly time in recognition of their commitment to serving their city. Opened by the Director General of the Cité de l’Espace, the evening continued with the speech of Jean-Luc Moudenc, Mayor of Toulouse and President of Toulouse Métropole, who returned his thanks to all the actors of participatory democracy , citizens, partners and municipal services.
Ideas for the neighborhood
Then he officially launched the vote, a crucial step in the “My ideas for my neighborhood” operation, to which a budget of 8 million euros is allocated. “A budget, now extended to the whole of Toulouse, and multiplied by 8 compared to 2019”, underlined Jean-Luc Moudenc. “Selecting 200 ideas from the 1,600 submitted is a huge task and I salute all those who have given their time and energy to it”, he added. Everyone was then able to enjoy the exhibitions “Lune Épisode II” and the “Carré de l’Actu” currently offered by the Cité de l’Espace, and attend a screening of the wonderful film “Auroras Lights of Wonder”, on the polar auroras. .
