Until now, the town hall of the Prague 6 district has been limited to a logo without any other uniform visual expression. “We want to keep up with the times, that’s why we teamed up with experts in the field of graphic design and in an open competition we were looking for an original visual style that would faithfully describe Prague 6. The jury unanimously agreed on the winning proposal,” says Prague 6 Mayor Ondřej Kolář.

According to him, after a year, the district has prepared a comprehensive system of visual communication, which combines modern elegance, dignity, but also tradition. The style is supported by the local residents’ pride in being from Šestka.
Green symbolizes nature
Green has thus become the new color of Prague, which evokes nature and peace, but at the same time is supposed to remind of the modern, lively accent of urban activity. The new design will gradually be written into the stickers on the cars of the city district or signs in public spaces.
One of the icons of Prague 6 is the well-known Bubenečský brewery, located a short distance from the Hradčanská metro station. Therefore, the district teamed up with the Bubeneč brewer, who brewed a light six-level beer special called Lehká Šestka. It contains the Pink Boots Hop Blend, which is associated with an international independent initiative to support women in brewing.

The new Prague 6 beer, which is available on tap directly at the Bubeneč Brewery, celebrates the new visual identity of the city district and commemorates the connection of Bubeneč to Prague, since one hundred years have passed this year.
