Salaries are being raised again at Budapest Airport
Budapest Airport will implement an extraordinary ten percent wage increase in October, so the employees of the BUD group will already receive the increased wages in November, wrote the airport operator. On average, the workers received a higher wage from March 1 to March 3 – in the case of certain jobs, from the 15th – and the company will continue to raise this.
At the 100 percent owned subsidiary of Budapest Airport, BUD Security Kft., the starting basic salary of passenger security inspectors is HUF 444,800 gross as of October, which represents a ten percent increase compared to the previous ones. The starting salary of terminal operation and information staff responsible for passenger information will also increase to HUF 444,800 gross per month. In addition to their basic salary and shift allowances, employees are also entitled to a quarterly bonus, traveling support, and seniority wages commensurate with the time spent at the company in certain positions.
The group currently has 1,379 employees, and the salary increase affects the entire group. The operator, referring to the current economic processes and the level of inflation and the rising utility prices, is once again on the wages of the workers.
The company ended last year with a net sales of 143 million euros and a loss of 87.6 million euros. Compared to the 2020 data, the income was 25 million euros more, and the loss was 22 million euros less.
55.44 percent of Budapest Airport’s shares are owned by AviAlliance, 23.33 percent by Malton, and 21.23 percent by Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec.
