The Tourism of Salamanca participates this week, together with CEAV (Spanish Confederation of Travel Agencies), in a new commercial day in the city of Bilbao.
These are face-to-face meetings with travel agencies and tour operators in which the needs and proposals for the marketing of the Salamanca destination are heard, in addition to promoting the program “2×1. Salamanca gives you twice as much”.
The action was held on the afternoon of Thursday, October 6, at the Gran Hotel Domine, with a workshop format and personalized interviews with the agents.
In this way, Salamanca promotes the ‘2×1’ programme, whose platform has just been renewed to “offer tourists a more intuitive and personalized experience thanks to the incorporation of the latest development technologies”. All this with the aim of “increasing the arrival of travelers to the city, which already in August registered a record of foreigners never before reached in a month of August, almost 32,000”.
In addition, Turismo de Salamanca has participated this week in the II Turespaña Convention, which has been held at the Barcelona International Convention Center, from Monday to Wednesday.
“The Turespaña Convention is a space for meeting, collaboration and planning between Turespaña and its network of tourism ministries abroad and Spanish tourist destinations, which seeks to promote both the exchange of information and the joint reflection of the Spanish tourism sector on the most relevant challenges and strategies of what is the main industry of our economy”, they assured in a statement.
This II Edition of the Convention has been dedicated to the governance of tourism, one of the “most relevant action references in the sector together with the development of competitiveness and the search for sustainability“. It has been opened up to the private sector with the aim of reinforcing public-private collaboration, cooperation and coordination mechanisms and favoring the development of strategies and joint decision-making.
With this objective, the sessions of this convention have integrated presentations, round tables with actors, market presentations and bilateral meetings between the different public and private sectors and the different actors of Turespaña, among which the network of Tourism Advisors abroad stands out.
After the scheduled debates, presentations and interviews, Turismo de Salamanca has held a full agenda of meetings with the Tourism councilors of the different markets and the different sub-directorates of Turespaña with a view to operational planning for 2023. Mexico, Brazil, Vienna, Warsaw , Tokyo, Milan, Zurich, Chicago, Miami, Mumbay, Singapore, Paris, Berlin, London, etc., are some of the markets with which Tourism of Salamanca has met to establish lines of action and tourism collaboration for the next 2023.
